President Nixon compares hands with Louisiana Tech’s Terry Bradshaw in this April 1970 photo. The  All-American quarterback, who was visiting the White House with his teammates, was drafted No. 1 overall in the 1970 NFL Draft.
The young guy wearing the football helmet is none other than David Bowie. Still learning the rules of the game apparently..
"The quarterback is going down … The quarterback is going down hard."

Sweetness & Toughness
Walter Payton: the epitome of greatness.

“The first time I saw him—I didn’t know who he was—I saw him make this one run. He fought for every inch. He must’ve twisted and knocked 3 or 4 guys over. Spun around. Accelerated. And I said, ‘Oh my goodness! What kind of animal is this?’ All those moves. The strength, the tenacity. Give me the heart of Walter Payton. There’s never been a greater heart.”— Jim Brown
